Sorry to say it, but I didn't really like this that much.
The reason why I didn't like it was pretty much because there were no buildup and therefore no drop either. It seems like the song just started on the drop and for me, it was listening to a 4 minute long drop.
Also, if you are going to make such a long song, you should try varying the melody a bit more. Even professional Electro House producers does it. The melody was catchy but I got bored of the track like 2 min in. There were also no proper bass or subkick which Electro House is supposed to be known for.
Also, like RF said, it's missing some layers. Even Electro House musicians layer their leads just try to listen to some of them like Afrojack.

Sorry, but I am familliar with this kind of music and honestly I think it deserves something along the lines of 2.75, but as that dosen't exist I'll give you a 3, but I honestly think you can improve alot more. You got the basics down. Catchy melody, good progressions etc. But at least in this track, you lack some of the more basic stuff like layering and song structure.
You got alot of potential though And I really think you will be able to evolve fast if you just take my review into consideration.

Thanks for the insight! I really appreciate it. This was my first ever attempt at this sort of genre, and I plan to do more and get good in this genre. I'm still experimenting a lot with this kind of music. Thanks for recommending Afrojack to me I've heard a couple songs from him, and will listen more intently. I'll take your advice into consideration and try to apply it well. Also I think you're rating was very fair for the downsides and upsides of this song, I'm just glad I didn't get another one star. As I said before I've never done this type before, and I'm still learning. I hope you enjoy my upcoming electro house songs.

Without even looking at the picture this gave me an adventury feel.(Though my imagination was a child wandering in the rain) which shows that you have done a really great job, reflecting the art.
This has alot of potential. Personally I would have added some other instruments as well and made this into an orchestral track. As it is now it get's pretty boring after a while.
You build up alot of power throughout the song and I really feel like it needs that "BAAM" where a dousin of trumpets, cellos and violins comes in.

As it is now I can only give you a 3 but you have a lot of potential as a cinematic musician and If you just learn the techniques I'll imagine you can be a known cinematic producer in no time ;).

"Fun" is probably the world that explains this track the best. I had great fun and in my head I actually imagined twocreepy ghost kids playing in a fun park which was very close to the picture it was inspired by.
As RealFaction said I also think it needs a bass synth. Either that or just a really bassy subkick :).
I absolutely love it and even though it's repetetive it's not a bad thing in this case.
4.5 and favourite.

! ! If I could have made one of those "Hot girl incoming" whistling smileys I would have put it between those 2 exclamation marks.

Anyway This was amaaaazing :D. Absolutely loved the glitch effect and the drum beat was awesome.
Melodic groove was still probably the best thing with the track. My only complaint was that it was a tiny bit too repetetive.
It's incredibly chill and groovey and this will be my first time actually calling a song "smokey".
Reflects the art really well as well :D.

4.5/5 because I didn't really like that it was so repetetive, though this is only my personal opinion.

YouriX responds:

Music is very subjective. So i understand where you are coming from.
This is also the first time someone said that my song is "smokey" hahaha pretty wicked :P
But all in all i am very happy you liked the song! :D

Beaauutiful. It got a nice and soothinng sound and the melody is so nice and relaxing.
I do, though, have one single complaint about it :/. The instrument that comes in at around 1:50 dosen't really fit with the piano and the synth that comes in at 2:25. It just sounds out of place. Hard to explain it but I think an instrument that gave off more of a steel drum-ish sound would be better. That's just my opinion though.

The rest of the song is awesome and I love how good you vary the song as it progresses. You always add something new to every part of the song. the second half of the song that started around the 3 min mark was probably my favourite thing with the song :).
I'll give you a 4.5 rating.

Chemiqals responds:

Thank you for the feedback! I'm glad you enjoyed it =)

This is pretty awesome :D. Really feels like a retro gameboy game. The main riff was incredibly funk at made me wanna dance which is awesome :D. Didn't even notice it looping and I listened to it loop about five or six times without getting bored of it which proves it's an awesome loop :D.

Deserves all five stars and a favourite :).

SinclairStrange responds:

Thanks! :). I guess the aim is to try and make the listener not aware it's looping as it's for a game. I'm glad ye like the tune! ^-^

Not a bad idea at all. I liked the intro alot though I feel like it was a bit poorly mixed. All the frequencies just mashed together making it having a low quality sound. I liked what you did with the piano, the claps and synths before the drop but again the piano pretty much took over the synth's frequency so again I think it could have been mixed a bit better.

The drop was pretty well mixed though. I do actually have the feeling of hearing that same drop some other place but as I can't remember where it might just be some deja vu X3.
The drop WAS well mixed though I felt like it lacked the proper bass drop feel. It pretty much lacked a heavy hitting bass. Try checking out "Animals" by Martin Garrix. The sound he gets in his drops is probably what you want in your track.

What came after the drop was pretty much just a repetition of the first half except for some strings.
It would have been nice if you had changed up the melody a bit there just to make it more varied as it is now I pretty much got tired of the track after the first drop. After a drop you should try giving the listeners something unexpected like a totally new melody. That's what gives a track thrill and replay value.

Anyways it was a pretty solid track and if you fix the mixing issues it would definetly deserve a 4 but right now I'm afraid I only can give you 3.
I disagree with the incredibly low rating on this though so I'll rate it 5 just to bring it up to a more fair level.

Wow! Didn't expect finding something this awesome awesome in the unscouted artist list :D.
You got a great amount of talent. I loved the sounding of this. It was so incredibly peacefull and kinda made me think about minecraft X3.
I feel like the vocals could have been mixed a bit better though. Don't really sound that good with the rest of the track which might be fixed by doing a bit of Eq'ing but honestly I think the voice was too unclear for this track. I assume that they probably weren't recorded with a very good mic.

Anyways, great song. Though I think the vocals could have been better I still love this song and it definetly deserves a scout :).

mynameisthemaster1 responds:

Thanks mate :)
About the vocals, I recorded this a year ago, and I was most likely sick at the time of recording this. Kinda stupid to do so.
To the mic, I record my vocals with some karaoke mics I found in the attic. The mics actually don't sound like that, I just EQ'd it like that because it sounded nice, in my opinion.
Seriously though, thanks.

I make Dance and stuffz. EctiBot is a mix of Ecti, and Bot. Profile pic made by solwings.newgrounds.com :D!
